Analysis of the causes of malfunctions in high-speed quilting machines

January 23, 2026

High-speed quilting machines can be used for quilting mattresses, bedding, cushions, car seat covers, etc. A good quilting machine should have a high degree of automation. During debugging and procurement, its automation functions and flexibility should be carefully tested and checked to ensure the machine can automatically complete the set sewing tasks.

High-speed quilting machines solve problems that are difficult to overcome with ordinary quilting machines. Under the precise control of a computer system, high-speed quilting machines can perfectly handle various complex patterns across the entire coordinate system. Their production speed, mechanical performance, and noise pollution levels are unmatched by previous quilting machines. When a high-speed quilting machine has been used for a long time or occasionally malfunctions, the machine may freeze. How should we solve this?

1. First, remove the belt and vigorously rotate the upper and lower timing wheels to check whether the rotation of the machine head and base plate is smooth and free of dead spots. Dead spots may exist during machine rotation; we must carefully check each part and then eliminate them.

2. Check for deformation of moving parts, loose or displaced screws, or dust, foreign objects, or lack of lubrication at moving parts that may obstruct movement.

3. Check if the belt of the high-speed quilting machine is loose or slipping. If so, adjust it promptly.

4. Check the wear of the friction plates on the clutch head of the high-speed quilting machine's motor. Check if the clutch operation is normal and if the clutch travel is within the normal range. Adjust the clutch when replacing the return spring and friction plates.
