System control technology of computerized multi-needle quilting machine

January 5, 2026

The computerized multi-needle quilting machine adopts a saddle-guided movement system, ensuring stable operation, more attractive patterns, and a lower thread breakage rate. The needle bar movement utilizes a needle bar frame mechanism, eliminating the need for additional lubrication and preventing oil stains on the fabric. Its needle bar frame mechanism is more robust and less prone to damage, and both the saddle and rollers use imported servo drive equipment.

The computerized multi-needle quilting machine employs multi-CPU parallel processing technology for data processing and transmission, significantly improving upon the traditional mechanical operation of dedicated frequency converters. It effectively solves key quilting technologies such as saddle control, roller control, and spindle control, achieving automation of the quilting production process. It features strong fault tolerance and automatic stop function in case of thread breakage.

In the saddle and roller system control technology, based on the actual load of the saddle or roller, the principle of ball screw and belt drive, quilting needle speed and stitch length, and the phase of the quilting needle and pressure plate, etc., the drive motor of the saddle or roller is rationally selected. The acceleration and material transfer time of the saddle or roller are accurately calculated, and the control curve of the drive command is optimized to ensure quilting quality and output, thereby improving the overall design level of the saddle or roller system control technology. Stepper motors are used instead of AC servo motors to drive the saddle, thus improving the overall performance indicators of the saddle and roller system.

In the spindle system control technology, based on the actual load of the spindle, the principle of belt drive, quilting needle speed and stitch length, etc., the spindle drive motor is rationally selected. The spindle acceleration is calculated, and the speed control curve of the spindle drive command is optimized to ensure quilting quality and output.
