In industries such as leather cutting and fabric cutting, materials are often cut according to production needs. With the rapid development of the textile industry, modern people have increasingly higher requirements for cutting technology. On the one hand, they pursue high-quality cutting; on the other hand, they demand high-speed and efficient cutting, such as cutting fabrics or leather of different shapes, angles, and lengths.

Generally, sewing factories design cutting plans based on the different shapes of fabrics or leather materials. However, to save materials, manual cutting by workers is often used in many cases. This makes it difficult to guarantee cutting quality, and the cutting efficiency is relatively low. To improve cutting efficiency and quality, automatic cutting machines have been developed. Automatic cutting machine processing should refine production tasks and formulate various cutting plans based on different materials, specifications, and other parameters.

1. Increasing the number of layouts and specifications helps save fabric during the laying process. For silk fabrics, the number of layers should not be too many to ensure cutting accuracy.

2. For high-end garment fabrics, when formulating cutting plans, it is also necessary to consider how to rationally plan the laying length to reduce waste material shorter than one layer and fully utilize the value of the material.

3. Material shrinkage and woven fabric edges will affect the actual effective fabric width. Reasonable planning is necessary based on the nature of the cutting and production requirements.

4. The layout of the cut pieces should conform to the specified yarn direction; otherwise, it will affect the shape of the garment and cause irreversible quality problems. If the jacket's front flap must be aligned with the warp direction, to meet calibration requirements, the calibration cuts must be placed in the same circular pattern. If the left and right front flaps are required, then the left and right flaps should be placed together when cutting the fabric.
